Disneyland Day 2

I had actually planned on posting about each day at the end of the day. You might have noticed that I'm a day late on this one. All the excitement is running Mom and Dad ragged! Day 2 got started a little later than we had planned. We eventually made it out of the hotel by 10am.

First stop today was California Adventure. Aubrey had a great time riding the rides in A Bug's Life. These were more her speed. I forgot to mention in the last post that she did NOT like the Matterhorn. I really thought she was going to like it because she loves to go fast on the quad. Oops...strike one for mom!

Jake was such a little trooper.....

After the rides we went through the Tortilla Factory and the Sourdough Bakery tours. We did not realize how hungry we were until we began eating our tortillas and bread samples. So of course we headed over to Taste Pilots Grill for lunch next. I think Jeff and I might scream if we ever have to eat a cheeseburger again!

We finished lunch just in time to make our way over to Disneyland's Plaza Inn for a Birthday Party hosted by Pat E Cake.Aubrey patiently waited for the Birthday Party to start. OK, maybe I'm over doing it with the patient part.....

We all had a lot of fun decorating our mini birthday cakes.....

Aubrey loved dancing to the birthday music too.....

Some of the other Birthday Party guests included Mom, Dad and Jake.....

She was beside herself when Mickey and Minnie made a special appearance. We did a conga line with them and then spent some time taking pictures and hanging out with them. But autograph books were not allowed at this event! Are you kidding me?! So we were STILL going to have to hunt down Mickey and Minnie and stand through the line for an autograph and another picture?!

After the Birthday Party we decided to head back to the hotel for a little R&R. And maybe a couple alcoholic beverages to help calm mom and dad's nerves once the kids were asleep. (I'm not sure why because I thought that Disneyland is supposed to be the happiest place on earth!) Aubrey was so tired that she took a nap for almost 3 hours!

Once nap time was over we were still too beat to do much of anything else. So we opted to kick back at the hotel and call it a day.

We'll go to bed by 9pm and get an early start tomorrow morning. So we thought anyway!

The cheeseburgers! I know! Funny. There is too much of a good thing.

We made our 2 oldest go on Space Mountain and Matterhorn when they were 3 and 5. The 5 year old loved it, the three year old, not so much, oops.
