Preparing for Halloween

Halloween preparations have become quite an ordeal around our house. After all, this is Jeff's favorite holiday. He has been busy building, decorating, carving, etc... He has taken the pumpkin carving to a new level this year with the use of power tools! Aubrey has been pretty excited with helping her daddy get things ready for the big night. So far she only disapproved of a motion activated ghost that is usually strung across our yard and makes noises as it travels along. That came down almost as quickly as it went up. Other than that she thinks the yard is fun and spooky. Aubrey and I made pumpkins pies the other day, which is definitely a fall favorite around here. She just loves to help out wherever she can. And of course, we are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Jake. Less than two weeks to go! Jeff will just be grateful when I finally stop "nesting". I have been driving him crazy trying to keep things in order around the house at all times just in case labor starts.

Hi Leslie! So glad you have started a blog! They are soooo fun (you know I love them!). Love the pictures, Aubrey is so cute! We miss you at work! Hope you're feeling okay. Once you are into this blog thing a little more, I have a website I am making books of my blogs at. I am going to make one for each kid to have when they are older. It's really like a journal or scrapbook, just on the internet! Hope you have a fun Halloween! Take some pictures so we can see!
